About Macedonia 

   Republic of Macedonia is an independent state on the Balkan Peninsula, in south-eastern part of Europe. Until 1991, Macedonia was a part of SFR Yugoslavia, when it peacefully seceded and created its own country.
  There is parliamentary democracy in Macedonia. The local government functions are divided between 123 municipalities. This is a mountainous country with lot of valleys. There are also three big lakes and many rivers (the bigger is Vardar).
